The Association for the Advancement and Relief for the Children of Central America had its beginning in August of 2007. Gilbert Garcia and Clayton Nye, both members of the St. Thomas More Acts Ministries in San Antonio, Texas, were invited to participate in "Nicaragua Crusade 2007" sponsored by an organization called the "Way Of The Cross". It was a great moment to have an Evangelical ministry to invite Catholic Brothers who Love the Lord to participate. This trip was tremendously successful with over 168,000 people saved to the Kingdom of God. This trip brought confirmation about a calling that the Lord had put in both Gilbert and Clayton's hearts. That calling, was that the Lord in this last days was calling his people out from all churches and denominations into one force willing and able to go wherever needed to help and minister to God's people who are in need. The Lord asked Peter twice "Do You Love Me, Then feed my sheep." The Lord is calling upon all of us, to stop the bickering, stop the discord between Christian people and Churches and be people who are called by his name and not by your denomination. The Lord does not see people by their denominations, he see's them according to their hearts and intents. God's people love much and care much, and have one purpose in life and that is to Love the Lord and love all his children. This means providing ministry, care and nourishment to his children. AARC intends to fulfill Gods calling in feeding his sheep. We will minister, help, feed, nourish and do all that the Lord calls us to do with the Children of Central America. These are children who are suffering from hunger, heath and nutritional issues. AARC now has supporters and volunteers from many churches and communities within the Catholic Church as well as Evangelical Churches like Cornerstone Church, Community Bible Church, Faith Outreach International, New Life Christian Church with many more to come in the San Antonio area. We have one vision, and that is to feed God's Sheep. |
